Considering traces of the swine flu spread, the TWSHC Steering Committee have arranged to distribute free alcohol hand sanitizers (1 litre) to the parties who once took part in the “Safe and Healthy Schools Bonus Point Scheme” and “Safe and Healthy Estates Promotion Scheme”. The hand sanitizers were sponsored by the TWSHC Steering Committee and The Yuen Yuen Institute. Each school and estate was given respectively two bottles and five bottles of alcohol hand sanitizers.
The bonus point scheme encourages the schools to promote the awareness of safety and health among the students based on the school-based models. The scheme will run in the form of bonus point reward, with several safety and health related activities for the students of each school. Each activity has its particular cumulative bonus points. Therefore, the more activities the school participates in or organizes, the higher point it earns. Upon completion of the scheme, the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards will be presented to the schools that have met the award point requirements.
